加藤尚宏(かとうなおひろ)牧師の略歴
1938年ソウルに生まれ、静岡県浜松市で育つ。1955年浜松福音ルーテル教会で受洗。東京大学文学部英文科を卒業後、NHK(日本放送協会)に放送記者として入局。ロサンゼルス特派員、TVのニュースキャスターなどを経て、1990年から6年間、ABU(アジア太平洋放送連合)の番組局長としてクアラルンプールに駐在。定年退職後、東京聖書学院に学び、2000年3月本科(神学修士コース)卒業。
卒業後2年間、信徒伝道者として母教会で奉仕した後、2002年4月KLJCFからの招聘を受けてマレーシアを訪れ、以来KLJCF議長を務める。2005年4月の定期総会で議長を兼ねた専任牧師となることが決まり、本日の牧師就任式となった。KL日本人会では、グリークラブ、村の音楽会、発声道場のメンバーで、MMSHP推進小委員会の委員をも務める。二男一女の父で、妻恵美子とともにKLに滞在中。
A Brief Biography of Rev. Naohiro Kato
Born in Seoul in 1938 and brought up in Hamamatsu, Central Japan. Baptized in 1955 at Hamamatsu Evangelical Lutheran Church. After graduating University of Tokyo, joined NHK, the solely non-commercial Radio & TV station in Japan, and posted as a Los Angles-based senior foreign correspondent in USA and TV news-caster in a highly-rated morning news show in Tokyo metropolitan area. In 1990, was appointed the Director of Programme of KL-based Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and stayed in KL until the retirement from NHK .in 1996. Upon retirement, began studying at Tokyo Bible Seminary and finished a three-year Master of Divinity course.
Spending two years as a lay pastor at his mother church in Tokyo, was invited by KLJCF as a full-time lay leader. At AGM held in April this year, was appointed as full-time Pastor cum Chairman of KLJCF. Social activities include Japan Club's KL Glee Club (Male Choir), Murano-Ongakukai (Singing-Loving Village Group), and Hassei-Doujou (Voice Training), and serve as a member of a small committee for the promotion of MMSHP (Malaysia, My Second Home Programme). Father of two sons and one daughter, all in Japan. Currently living in Kuala Lumpur with his wife, Emiko.
